Job Advert - Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) - Coventry

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) to join an NHS service in Coventry on a contract basis. This role offers a great opportunity for a Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) looking to transition into a community-based setting.

Job Details:
Location: Coventry
Job Title: Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN)
Contract Type: Temporary (ongoing)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: £21.50 per hour (LTD Umbrella)

Job Responsibilities: As a Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN), you will be responsible for:

  1. Providing mental health support to individuals within the community.
  2. Conducting initial assessments and developing tailored care plans.
  3. Managing a caseload of service users, supporting their recovery and well-being.
  4. Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams including doctors, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
  5. Delivering risk assessments and crisis interventions when necessary.
  6. Administering medication and monitoring patients' responses to treatment.
  7. Offering psychoeducation and guidance to patients and their families.
  8. Ensuring documentation is up to NHS standards and maintaining accurate patient records.

Requirements:
  1. Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with NMC registration.
  2. Experience in mental health nursing (inpatient or community settings).
  3. Strong understanding of care coordination, risk management, and crisis intervention.
  4. Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
  5. Excellent communication and assessment skills.
  6. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable but not essential).
