Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading provider of specialty insurance solutions. Our client is seeking a talented individual to design, develop, and maintain SQL databases that meet both application and business needs. You'll play a crucial role in developing and maintaining their Data Warehouse solution using the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases tailored to business requirements.
• Support the development and maintenance of the existing Data Warehouse solution.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database and system-related issues, providing support to users.
• Assist with the deployment of changes to the Data Warehouse and other systems.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand and support project requirements.
• Monitor regular processes, identify root cause issues, and escalate when necessary.
• Develop and maintain reusable code following best practices for future use.
• Proficient in T-SQL, including database schema design, views, stored procedures, and user-defined functions.
• Familiarity with Data Warehousing design techniques (Kimball/Star Schema).
• Experience with Visual Studio or similar IDEs.
• Experience with source control platforms such as Team Foundation Server, GIT, DevOps, or similar.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure technologies, including Azure Data Factory and Power BI.
• Exposure to the insurance industry.
• General IT support knowledge.
