Head of Commercial Finance (Commercial Finance Director)

QLM Search is partnering with a highly innovative Food Group that is looking to appoint a Finance Director for a specialist business unit. Supporting the group CFO and Divisional Managing Director, the role is pivotal in supporting the growth of the business unit globally.

Key responsibilities include:

• Effectively partner with the Managing Director to define and deliver commercial growth plans, investments, and improvement projects for a long-term sustainable and profitable business.
• Implement and deploy the business 3 and 5-year plans and strategic direction, partnering closely with the Managing Director and the entire leadership team, using business financial performance and market data insights.
• Drive commercial financial insights, partnering with the commercial and R&D leadership teams.
• Provide financial and business insights with appropriate tools/reports and advice to the senior management and leadership teams to support effective strategic, tactical, and operational decision-making.
• Continuously strengthen financial capability and disciplines, ensuring fit-for-purpose business partnering and financial controls are implemented and effective.

You will have operated as a Senior finance business partner (managing a small team) to an MD and non-finance business unit leaders and will be able to communicate and present at all levels. You must have experience in improving processes, analytical capability, and working across functions to drive performance. This is a hybrid role, 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, based in North Cambridgeshire.
