Cashier (Beauty Advisor Operations) - Manchester, Arndale

Type of contract: Permanent, Full Time 40h

The Beauty Advisor Operations at Sephora plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation processes (cash and stock). They work closely with the management team and other store associates to meet customer demands and maintain an exceptional shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stock Management: Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of merchandise. Unpack, label, and tag products accurately and efficiently. Organize and maintain inventory storage areas, including stockrooms and shelves. Perform regular stock counts and assist with inventory audits. Monitor stock levels and identify items that need to be reordered.
  • Stock Replenishment: Work closely with the management team to prioritize stock replenishment tasks. Ensure that stockrooms are adequately stocked to meet customer demands. Restock products on the sales floor promptly and maintain appealing product displays. Monitor product expiry dates and rotate stock as necessary. Assist in the implementation of merchandising plans and promotional displays.
  • Documentation and Administration: Assist in handling product recalls and returns in compliance with company policies. Provide support during inventory audits and assist in resolving discrepancies. Collaborate with the management team to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Cash Operations: Accurately process customer transactions, adhering to cash procedures as per Sephorapedia guidelines and audit reports. Follow daily cash-in and cash-out procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization in workspaces like the cash area and gift wrap, ensuring adequate packaging supplies.
  • Customer Service: Foster client loyalty by warmly welcoming, attentively understanding, and exceeding their needs at Sephora, including introducing complimentary services and utilizing digital tools to enrich their experience. Additionally, share product knowledge effectively to drive sales, increase basket size, maintaining a friendly and engaging attitude. Support different categories on the shop floor when asked to.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate with store associates to understand their stock needs and priorities. Communicate effectively with the management team regarding stock-related issues. Coordinate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure smooth operations. Assist in training new stock associates on inventory management procedures. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • New Store Opening Procedures: Support the setup of the new store by participating in unboxing deliveries and stocking shelves, ensuring the smooth transition of merchandise to the shop floor and stockroom.

Skills:

  • Prior experience in store operations (cash and stock), or related roles is preferred.
  • Knowledge of beauty and cosmetic products is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy boxes, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service and personalize recommendations based on customer needs.
  • Goal-oriented mindset and proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Professional appearance with a passion for the beauty industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
