Blue Legal have partnered with a global law firm to resource a Head of Marketing & Business Development (M&BD), based in London. The role-holder will oversee and drive the firm’s strategic business development initiatives across six key sectors and manage the M&BD team, ensuring the alignment with the firm’s objectives.

The Responsibilities:

Manage the In-Group M&BD team, setting clear objectives, conducting appraisals, and ensuring high-quality, consistent support across all sectors.
Collaborate with sector leaders to develop and implement business development plans, ensuring each group’s objectives are aligned with the firm’s overall strategy.
Lead the drafting and management of proposals, bids, panels, and marketing materials for client opportunities.
Provide guidance on budget management for the Groups, ensuring alignment with business development priorities.
Improve processes and foster knowledge sharing between teams to enhance efficiency and best practices.
Regularly report on business development activities to senior management and sector teams.
Lead client engagement efforts, including client listening initiatives and relationship meetings.
Oversee the implementation of branding and PR campaigns to position the firm and its sector groups as thought leaders.
Manage the directory submission process, ensuring accurate representation across sectors.

The Candidate:

10-15 years of experience in marketing and BD, ideally within professional services.
Proven leadership, team management, and strategic thinking skills.
Strong commercial focus with excellent project management and organisational skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
