Senior Group Accountant

My client, an ambitious FTSE-listed financial services firm, is looking to appoint a Senior Group Accountant to take ownership of the consolidated monthly forecast, annual budget, and longer-term plans, as well as providing input into various regulatory forecasts.

This key role will:

1. Assist with the end-to-end consolidated budgeting and forecasting process,
2. Prepare annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and longer-term financial plans,
3. Consolidate returns from financial control teams to create a comprehensive group-wide budget and forecast,
4. Work closely with Strategic Finance to produce high quality, timely, and robust Board and Executive reports,
5. Work closely with the regulatory team to help capital and liquidity forecasting,
6. Track financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing commentary and actionable recommendations to improve financial outcomes,
7. Identify opportunities to streamline budgeting and forecasting processes.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with demonstrable experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting; possess the ability to consolidate and present information and analysis in an effective, digestible, and timely manner; and be able to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders across the business.
