An exciting opportunity to join this global giant based out of their UK HQ in South West London as they continue their journey of rapidly adopting cloud technologies and maturing their cloud practice.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Cloud Platform Engineer who also has experience and an interest in Cloud Solutions and Architecture as you will be instrumental in integrating and supporting the shift of our on-premises infrastructure to the cloud, implementing advanced solutions that empower our teams to innovate faster and more efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support the administration of Azure Enterprise Scale Landing Zones and other cloud environments.
2. Tooling and automation for our applications and services: designing and maintaining IaC and building automated and fault-tolerant deployment processes for applications and infrastructure.
3. Ensure security best practices are applied across cloud deployments, including IAM, encryption, and compliance with relevant policies, regulations and standards.
4. Monitor cloud infrastructure(s), services and applications for performance, security, and availability, and respond to incidents or outages as required.
5. Collaboration and leadership: work with our Developers across the practice, providing expert infrastructure and DevOps support.

Skills and Profile:

Essential

1. Able to demonstrate ability to undertake the above responsibilities and show strong initiative, innovation, and problem-solving skills.
2. Demonstratable in-depth experience of key DevOps skills: use of Git, CI/CD platforms, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure/AWS, PaaS/Serverless cloud resources, Linux and Bash scripting, Windows and PowerShell scripting.
3. Contribute to advancing adoption of DevOps culture through educating and supporting teams across the company.
4. 2+ years of experience as a Cloud/DevOps Engineer (or closely related) deploying and managing IaaS and PaaS cloud infrastructure.
5. Azure Certifications: AZ-305 Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AZ-400 DevOps Engineer Expert.
6. Strong understanding of networking, security, and governance.
7. Proficient skills in HTML, Markdown, PowerShell, Bash.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills – articulate and diplomatic manner.
9. Proven ability to mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

Desirable

1. AWS Certifications (1 or more): AWS SysOps Administrator, AWS Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer.
2. Proficient in Python, .Net, SQL.
3. Experience with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Prometheus, or Grafana.
4. Experience or strong knowledge of traditional datacentre services such as Compute, Storage and Backup technologies.
5. Experience or strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 technologies such as Dynamics 365, SharePoint, etc.
