About Our Client

Our client is a growing Corporate and Investment Bank based in the City, and this role sits within their Compliance Advisory team.

Job Description

The Central Compliance - Transaction Reporting Advisor - AVP, who will be based in London, will be responsible for:

  • Managing queries and escalating issues for remediation.
  • Knowledge of many complex regulations such as MiFID II, EMIR TR, SFTR, and other related matters, assessing the operational impact of newly implemented regulations and regulations in the pipeline, including MIFIR, EMIR, and SFTR reporting and the impact of new business systems on regulatory reporting.
  • Understanding of trade booking practices, valuations, use of new systems (with a potential regulatory impact), record keeping practices, and the read across of issues (learning from mistakes) from one area to another (e.g., Operations to Risk; or Bank to Capital Markets).
  • Liaising closely with Compliance Advisory teams, Compliance Training and Communications, Compliance Monitoring & Surveillance, Regulatory Affairs, and Financial Crime within the Compliance Department.
  • Contributing to the risk assessment processes for trade and transaction reporting.
  • Collaborating with the Operational Risk and Internal Audit in their reviews and investigations and, where appropriate, advising on suitable solutions to required actions.

The Successful Applicant

The Central Compliance - Transaction Reporting Advisor - AVP should have:

  • Degree or relevant experience.
  • Experience of:
  • Advising businesses on how to comply with laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Investigating potential or actual breaches of relevant laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Financial services and markets.
  • Reporting systems and infrastructure.
  • Trading and sales environments.

Ideally, knowledge of:

  • Transaction reporting requirements under MiFIR, EMIR & SFTR.
  • Investment products and booking systems.

Positive approach to providing solutions. Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure. Good communicator.
