We are actively looking for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor from a construction background to work with a large and well-known main contractor on a high-profile major building project in the Cardiff area.

The project value is in excess of 300 million pounds and will run for more than 3 years. The role will involve working closely with and reporting to the HSE lead on the project.

Roles and responsibilities will include:

Inspecting the site on a regular basis, undertaking all accident/incident investigations, toolbox talks, and induction training both internally and externally. Quality, environmental, and sustainability form a large part of day-to-day business.
Providing support and guidance to all functions within the business, including human resources, plant, and buying department.
Reviewing and updating existing documentation to ensure visual standards are maintained and statutory inspection documentation procedures remain up to date.
Reviewing the Business Management Systems (Policy and Procedures) and conducting internal audits.
Liaising with HSE where required.
Ensuring temporary works procedures ensure designs are suitable and sufficient.
Being commercially aware of the environment.
Reviewing all sub-contractors' safe systems of work.
