Building Surveyor (Assistant / Intermediate)

£35k - £45k (DOE)

An exciting opportunity for a proactive Building Surveyor to join an agile, niche construction consultancy based in Exeter.

As a client-focused business, over 80% of their workload comes from repeat business! They manage a range of contract values up to £30m, spanning a variety of sectors including commercial, education, healthcare, and residential. The vast majority of their work is in the Southwest region.

As an Assistant / Intermediate Building Surveyor, you will ideally have at least 2 years of industry experience, gained in a similar consultancy environment. You'll be joining an experienced and supportive team managing a variety of projects, with the opportunity to get involved with larger projects under the supervision of a Senior Consultant. These larger schemes include new build and refurbishment projects across a range of sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project management
2. Design and specification
3. Surveys and inspections
4. Contract administration (JCT MW)
5. Client interaction

Attention to detail and excellent communication skills are crucial for this role, as is a solid technical competence and understanding of building surveying principles.
