We are looking for a Production Manager to join the National Theatre Production Team.

Forging close communication between a tight team of production and technical supervisors on each show is one of the most important aspects of the role. Tapping into the wealth of experience and talent within the building can help ensure a smooth transition from creative idea to reality on stage.

The Production Manager is responsible for ensuring the artistic vision is achieved within the allocated resources, done safely, conscientiously regarding the environment, and to a high standard. It is important to develop an open and trusting relationship with members of the artistic team.

Knowledge, skills and experience

1. Demonstrable record as a Production Manager in delivering a wide range of theatre productions at the highest artistic and technical level.
2. Dedicated and committed with excellent focus and organisational skills, demonstrating excellent project management across several projects simultaneously.
3. Budget literacy.
4. Awareness of the latest techniques and relevant regulations applied to the preparation and staging of major productions, including a good working knowledge of health and safety regulations, Theatre Green Book, and ABTT Technical Standards.
5. Excellent and confident communicator and leader, resilient with the ability to demonstrate and communicate enthusiasm and professionalism in this demanding job.
6. Recognisable level of experience and credibility within the industry.
7. IT and AutoCAD literate.
8. IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent safety qualification.
