To provide a primary liaison service between the business, technology, and security functions to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information, and support the mitigation of security risk.

Accountabilities

  • Collaboration with stakeholders to understand their security requirements in business processes and IT projects, to enhance overall risk management.
  • Execution of risk assessments to identify and prioritise potential cybersecurity threats that could impact the bank's operations and data and guide the implementation of mitigation strategies and communicate findings to relevant senior stakeholders.
  • Collaboration with business units to develop and implement security policies and procedures for the bank's operations aligned to the risk management framework.
  • Management of the implementation, testing, and monitoring of security controls across the bank's IT systems to ensure the effectiveness of controls and mitigation of risk.
  • Execution of training content and sessions to educate employees, enhance cybersecurity awareness, and provide guidance on safe online practices.
  • Management of complex cybersecurity incidents by collaborating with IT teams and response experts to effectively resolve cases through analysis, expertise support, and project supervision.
  • Identification of emerging cybersecurity trends, threats, and new technologies to address potential risks by advocating the adoption of new security solutions.
  • Consult on complex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Take ownership of managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
  • Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, which requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function.
  • Collaborate with other areas of work for business-aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.
  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practices (in other areas, teams, companies, etc.) to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Communicate complex information. 'Complex' information could include sensitive information or information that is difficult to communicate because of its content or its audience.
  • Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

Join us as an Associate Red Team Operator at Barclays, where you'll play a key part in helping us make more informed risk decisions through conducting adversarial threat emulation activities. You will have the opportunity to utilise industry-leading tools, research new techniques and methodologies, and conduct Red Team operations across cyber, physical, people, process, and technology, aiming to achieve well-defined adversarial goals.

To be successful as an Associate Red Team Operator at Barclays, you should have:

  • Experience working within a globally diverse team, and leading engagement teams to simulate adversarial threat simulation
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to coordinate engagement planning, execution, and reporting in line with defined timelines to define quality levels and determination and passion for red teaming
  • Hands-on experience conducting security testing

  • Ability to explain technical concepts to business stakeholders
  • Motivated, technically minded attitude, with an ability to solve problems, collaborate, and communicate well
