Volunteer Mentor to a Young Person with Long Term Illness | Bright Futures UK

Bright Futures UK is looking for compassionate and knowledgeable professionals to mentor young people living with long-term illnesses.

By volunteering as a Mentor, you’ll play a vital role in empowering a young person to take control of their health and future, helping them to achieve their goals despite the challenges they face.

What are we looking for?

  1. Subject Area Expertise: Profound knowledge and experience in a subject area.
  2. Mentoring and Communication skills: Ability to mentor effectively, offering guidance and support to a young person with clarity and empathy.
  3. Flexibility and Commitment: Willingness to commit to 5-6 weeks of 1-hour sessions.

What will you be doing?

  1. Run six mentoring sessions online.
  2. Offer advice and insights related to your area of expertise.
  3. Help the young person explore potential career paths.
  4. Share your own experiences and knowledge to inspire and motivate.
