A well-established global manufacturer located in Telford is looking for a Process Engineer to join their Engineering team. This is a brand-new role to the business which has been created due to substantial growth within this area.

As their new Process Engineer, you will be the technical lead on matters relating to new product introduction and process improvement. Supporting the Manager, you will be constantly putting your expertise to good use, by delivering multiple projects around manufacturing processes. This could range from validating and recommending new equipment, improving processes, and resolving technical issues when needed.

There are some exciting and innovative ideas being put into action in this organisation, and you will get to work under an experienced leadership team, providing you with a chance to be exposed to some world-class mentoring.

As the Process Engineer you will be getting involved in:

  • Introducing, recommending, and validating new equipment onsite
  • Supporting the new product introduction process
  • Working closely with the Manager and team on problem resolution and problem solving
  • Designing new fixtures / jigs to be used in the production process
  • Working cross-functionally within the Engineering department on shared projects and goals

The skills and experience you need…

  • Experience working within a similar level role
  • HNC or level 4 qualification within an Engineering discipline
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S
  • Knowledge of Engineering principles
  • This role would suit someone who has previously worked as a Process Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer / Continuous Improvement Engineer
