Electrical Emergency Lighting Design Surveyor - Work from Home - South East - c. £60k

c.£60,000 per annum salary.
Work from home or office options (do not need to be commutable and so flexible on location in South East as long as can travel to sites to survey).

Company: A leading provider of fire alarm and emergency lighting systems is expanding and seeking an Emergency Lighting Design Estimator to join them. This role allows you to work from home and visit sites and customers to survey as necessary.

Job Description:

As a Fire Alarm Design Estimator, you'll estimate and help price for new Fire Systems emergency lighting Projects for your company with existing or new clients such as Housing Associations, Care Homes, and Local Council Authorities.

As an Emergency Lighting Electrical Design Engineer, you will ideally be able to design Fire Alarm systems to L and P standards and lay out emergency lighting systems as well, (but if electrical and lighting surveying/design/estimating is key!).

Role and Requirements for Fire Alarm Systems Design Estimator:

System Design: Collaborate with sales and technical teams to design systems meeting client needs and industry standards.
Estimation: Prepare detailed project estimates and tenders.
Survey: Go to sites to understand briefs or meet customers.

Experience needed:

Proven emergency lighting designer and, if possible, fire alarm system design experience.
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations such as BS5839, BS 5266.
Strong estimation, surveying, and proposal skills.
