This is a new and exclusive opportunity for a Frontend Software Engineering Manager to join a thriving FX Financial business in London City as they expand their software engineering team. We are hiring for one Software Engineering Manager as part of this growth.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a Software Engineering Manager to join this thriving FX Business. You will be leading the FX Customer team where you will be creating software to assist FX Risk processes and support the software engineering team.

As the Engineering Manager, you will report to the FX Director of Engineering, leading a team of 4+ software engineers and managing the delivery of our outsourced partners.

You will be working alongside versatile and experienced engineers improving our FX capabilities, including the following contributions:

1. Contribute to the new FX Risk platform, working on scaling software using event-driven architecture.
2. Design, build, and maintain core FX Risk capabilities, providing a simple API solution for the foreign exchange market.
3. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
4. Influence wider company architecture, collaborating with other teams handling FX transactions.
5. Work alongside smart QA engineers to build and maintain a vast collection of automated testing scenarios.

• Frontend - React, S3, CloudFront, Storybook, Webpack, Typescript
• DevOps & CI/CD - Code pipeline, Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, Datadog, PagerDuty, Cloudwatch, Sonarqube, Snyk, CodeArtifact

Qualifications

Tech

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, or an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or a PhD.
• 2+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager or Tech Lead, with a willingness to step into the EM role.
• Experience building software for the financial domain, especially in FX, is beneficial.
• Experience in C#.NET.
• Experience in AWS Amazon Web Services and Typescript is beneficial but not essential.

• Genuinely interested in the intersection of finance and technology, with a desire to become a subject matter expert.
• A self-starter who takes accountability for getting things done.
• Pragmatism in decision-making and ability to get buy-in for ideas.
