The Friendly Toast is a unique all-day brunch and bar restaurant, looking for an enthusiastic Runner and Busser to join our team. Our restaurant is known for its scratch-made menu, passion for people and community, and welcoming atmosphere. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist servers in delivering food to guests in a timely and accurate manner.
• Clear tables and ensure they are clean and ready for the next guest.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including floors, chairs, and table settings.
• Work collaboratively with all team members to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Demonstrate a passion for food and customer service.
• Exhibit attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.
• Reliable and punctual.

Requirements

Toast Perks

Bussers:

• Prepare dining room for patrons by cleaning; setting decorations, condiments, napkins, service plates, and utensils.
• Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation and safety policies.
• Maintain menu presentation by keeping menus clean and in good condition.
• Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
• Support wait staff by setting up and replenishing condiment stands, trash container liners, and bus stations.
• Close dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables; sweeping and/or vacuuming floors; removing trash and recyclables from the facility.
• Update job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.

Runners:

• Provide food to guests in an efficient and accurate manner.
• Anticipate guests’ needs and deal with them accordingly.
• Exhibit excellent communication and guest service skills.
• Demonstrate a proven record of handling stress in a fast-paced work environment.
• Show ability to multitask.
• Transfer food items to and from kitchen.

Working Conditions

• Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion.
• Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment as well as operating phones, computers, printers, and other office equipment.
