Job description

Job Title: AC Technical & Servicing Engineer

Overview:
Responsible for commissioning, technical fault finding, servicing, repairing and maintaining Air Conditioning, Heat pump and HVAC systems used in residential, commercial, MoD and industrial buildings.

Regular duties:

  1. Commission, Service, repair and maintain AC and Heat pump systems.
  2. Review building plans and specifications to determine the requirements for Air Conditioning Equipment.
  3. Assist in the design, manufacture and commissioning of HVAC Controls Panels, Leak Detection Systems and other bespoke products.
  4. Provide Technical assistance for the Mechanical and Electrical departments.
  5. Provide on and off-site technical assistance for the partnered Air Conditioning brands when and where required.
  6. Provide Commissioning and High-Level Service Support when required either by telephone, electronically or on-site.
  7. Provide manufacturer training sessions (when set up) and manufacturer liaison.
  8. Produce detailed technical reports and validations.
  9. Provide competent technical fault-finding services to both clients and manufacturers.
  10. Carry out warranty repairs and warranty reports.
  11. Maintain all building codes, installation requirements and relevant legislation.
  12. Assist in the maintenance of the companies F-Gas register and look to progress the Refcom Elite Membership.
  13. Maintain the Manufacturer Training requirements and administer the Samsung, Mitsubishi, Daikin and other manufacturer Installer Schemes.
  14. Attend training courses as required to further benefit the company's technical knowledge.
  15. Provide Training support for all mechanical and electrical trainees.

Relationships:

Responsible to: Line Manager, Business and Tech Dev Manager and Directors

Responsible for: Teams and sites allocated to yourself in line with the job role.

Liaison with: Clients, Suppliers, Engineers, Sub-contractors, and colleagues as necessary to carry out your duties.

Additional tasks of job:

  1. Update training records and requirements.
  2. Support other trade disciplines as required.
  3. Implementation of Health and Safety Policy as required.
  4. Support the estimation department in the delivery of Plumbing, Heating, Mechanical and Electrical quotes, tenders and enquiries.
  5. Assisting in Site Surveys.
  6. Represent the company at site meetings as required.
  7. Support the development of other areas of business.
  8. Any other task as directed by your line manager.

Whilst these responsibilities set out the main tasks required of your position, this is not an exhaustive schedule, and during the ebb and flow of business, you may be required to perform other roles and responsibilities within your capabilities and skillset.
