Contracts Manager

SE London

Permanent - Home-based

£45,000 - £50,000 plus car allowance and bonus

Summary

We are looking for a Contracts Manager in the SE London area. Working from home you will be managing a directly employed trades team who are dealing with insurance reinstatement projects across the region.

You will ideally reside in one of the following postcodes; SE, BR, DA, ME.

Job role and responsibilities

1. Surveying properties, diagnosing defects and then scoping/estimating repair works.
2. Ability to assess some jobs from photographic reports.
3. Scheduling & programming the relevant trades to complete the works.
4. Oversee the projects from inception to completion (including site audits).
5. Manage resources to ensure profit & productivity targets are met.
6. Financial responsibilities include checking material costs against budget, dealing with pricing adjustments, ensuring a good profit margin is met and preparing final accounts.
7. Ensuring Health & Safety/CDM regulations & legislation is followed.
8. Liaison with loss adjusters, insurers & policyholders throughout projects.

What skills/experience will you need?

For this Contracts Manager / Surveyor role you will need to have:

1. A proven track record of producing accurate scope of works on private domestic property repairs (insurance works).
2. An excellent knowledge of trades and relevant costs within this industry and be able to understand/interpret and produce an accurate schedule of works.
3. A strong knowledge of current H & S / CDM legislation.
4. Good IT skills, experience of Symbility, Xactware is advantageous.
5. Full driving licence (car allowance provided).

1. Salary around £45-£50k depending on experience.
