In view of heightened expectations from regulators and to ensure a strong and consistent global control environment, the Markets business continues to enhance the Risk and Control function.

This professional will be expected to establish a deep understanding of risk and control initiatives centred around the Booking Model and Legal Entity Trading Mandate controls. This role requires management of multiple initiatives, while ensuring awareness of remediation plans, and to drive teams to deliver best in class results. This will include implementation and operating of the legal entity control framework to enhance controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and with firm Policy and Standards through the development, enhancement and implementation of efficient control and supervisory tools. This will involve close partnership with Business execution stakeholders, Market Risk, Finance and internal/ external audit teams.

What you will do:
  • Responsible for enhancing the legal entity control environment through key initiatives (e.g. oversight of key risk, regulatory response and/or control policy changes).
  • Ensure quality, completeness, and accuracy of the implementation of the Control Framework in line with relevant policies and standards.
  • Lead legal entity related projects, including hosting project forums and the reporting of deliverables for consumption across relevant risk and control forums.
  • Coordinate with business and product teams and relevant control functions to ensure that the expectations and requirements set out in Citi’s Booking Model framework are integrated within Booking Control processes.
  • Review and approve legal entity processes that support the Booking Model framework for embedding Booking Model governance processes into existing processes i.e. Remote Booking.
  • Act as a legal entity Subject Matter Expert to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to discuss legal entity Booking Control topics including monitoring of activities, issues and breaches addressed for further action and resolution.
  • Coordinate policies, standards, and procedures adoption that impact the legal entity Booking Control process.
  • Lead initiatives and special projects critical to the enhancement of the control framework.
What we’ll need from you:
  • Relevant experience in the financial services industry in a control discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly collaborative; act with the highest level of integrity and works successfully with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • A proven ability to apply sound judgement, effectively communicate and make, support and implement high quality, timely decisions.
  • Ability to balance strategic priorities with tactical actions.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with multiple stakeholders including senior management, business and product teams, functions and legal entity leadership.
  • Proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong internal networks.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Global mindset, with regional/product understanding.
