Job description

Health & Safety Manager
Location: West Horndon, Essex (UK-wide travel required)
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 + bonus + company vehicle
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join an established engineering company working across high-risk sectors including Power, Petrochemical, and Aggregates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on all HSE matters across office and site operations
  • Maintain and improve ISO 45001, 14001 & 9001 systems
  • Conduct audits, risk assessments, incident investigations
  • Provide HSE support on tenders and engineering projects
  • Deliver internal training and manage sub-contractor compliance
  • Support major outages and site work across the UK

About You:

  • 5+ years in a similar role within heavy engineering
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
  • Grad IOSH (minimum), CSCS card holder
  • Internal audit qualified
  • Strong communicator with a hands-on, pragmatic approach
  • Full UK driving licence
