But we're more than just a law firm - we're a team of people working together to help individuals and businesses navigate life's ups and downs. Working here you'll feel a part of our friendly and inclusive environment.

We'll value you for who you are and what you bring. We support each other and push boundaries to achieve incredible things and make a real difference to our clients and communities.

We are looking to add a Paralegal to our Serious Injury team to be based in Southampton.

Our Team

Head, spinal cord and other serious injuries, such as those resulting in amputation, blindness and orthopaedic problems, can be life changing. Serious injuries affect our clients in different ways such as their family life, employment opportunities, healthcare needs and everyday quality of life. These claims are by nature hugely traumatic and have to be handled with the utmost care and expertise. Our serious injury solicitors pride themselves on making a real difference and we can help clients to live their life as fully as possible after a serious injury. We have years of experience helping people claim compensation for serious injuries and have specialist teams across the UK.

Your Role

As a Paralegal you will play an integral role in the team, working together with qualified Case Handlers to provide legal support on a number of cases to deliver an outstanding client experience. You will be responsible for ensuring that client queries are dealt with quickly, efficiently and with empathy, taking appropriate actions. You will work independently under supervision and as part of a team to progress cases in accordance with the department's procedures to meet agreed personal targets.

You'll liaise regularly with a wide range of clients and medical professionals, in person, over the phone and in writing. Whether arranging meetings, seeking medical reports and chasing information, you'll need to show a sensitive and professional approach at all times.

About You
  • Empathy and compassion to help guide our clients through challenging personal circumstances
  • A friendly, enthusiastic, and can-do approach
  • Enthusiasm in building a career as a Paralegal

We're proud of our values, and we're looking for people who share them:

  • To be pioneering with an imaginative outlook
  • To be approachable and caring
  • To be tenacious in the pursuit of our objectives
  • To be efficient in the provision of our services
  • To work with a foundation of integrity.

If this sounds like you, we'd love to receive your application.

Our Benefits - What We Can Offer You
  • 25 days holidays as standard plus bank holidays - You can 'buy' up to 35hrs of extra holiday too.
  • Generous and flexible pension schemes.
  • Volunteering days - Two days of volunteering every year for a cause of your choice (fully paid)
  • Westfield Health membership, offering refunds on medical services alongside our Aviva Digital GP services.

We also offer a wide range of well-being initiatives to encourage positive mental health both in and out of the workplace and to make sure you're fully supported. This includes our Flexible by Choice programme which gives our colleagues more choice over a hybrid way of working subject to role, team and client requirements.
