Role: SEN - Support Assistant

Contract: Full Time / Part Time

Hours: 08:30 - 15:30

Location: SE23, Lewisham

We are looking for a fantastic SEN - Support Assistant to work at one of our thriving Secondary Schools in Greenwich, South East London. This exciting role will allow you to support a range of students suffering from extensive learning difficulties, e.g., Non-Verbal. There will be elements of personal care involved as part of day-to-day duties. Primarily, we are looking for someone who is proactive and versatile, as every day will not be the same.

Ideal Candidate:

• A strong understanding of children with PMLD.
• Contributing to support plans and strategies to meet the needs of each student.
• Patience when working with the children.
• A mindset to thrive in a new environment.
• Supporting students with PMLD mostly on a 1:1 basis.
• Attending to pupils' personal needs, including social health, hygiene, first aid, and welfare.

Standard Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with SEN, ideally PMLD.
• An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional reference checks.
• CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
