Job Role: Health and Social Care Lecturer (Maternity Cover)

Hourly Rate: £35

Job Type: Maternity Cover

Contract Type: Part-time

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Health and Social Care Lecturer to join our team on a part-time basis for maternity cover. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape the minds of future healthcare professionals, delivering engaging lessons and providing guidance and support to students studying health and social care courses.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver high-quality teaching in Health and Social Care to a diverse group of learners.
  2. Plan, prepare, and evaluate lesson plans, assignments, and assessments.
  3. Provide academic and pastoral support to students, ensuring their success and well-being.
  4. Contribute to the development of curriculum and course content in line with current industry standards.
  5. Engage with students to foster a positive and supportive learning environment.

Essential Requirements:

  1. A degree in Health and Social Care or a related field (or equivalent).
  2. Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd) or a commitment to obtaining one.
  3. Previous teaching experience, preferably in further or higher education.
  4. A strong understanding of the current health and social care sector and related policies.
  5. Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
