Senior Consultant - UK Civil Engineering

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for your next opportunity? James Gray Recruitment are actively recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s team for projects across the West of Scotland.

Our client:

• A family run civil engineering contractor who specialise in both private and public sector infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Preparing cost estimates, valuations, and financial reports.
2. Managing subcontractor procurement, contracts, and payments.
3. Monitoring project budgets and controlling costs.
4. Identifying and managing risks, variations, and claims.
5. Ensuring compliance with contract requirements and company policies.
6. Liaising with clients, project teams, and site staff to support project delivery.

What you will need to be successful:

1. Experienced in quantity surveying within civil engineering or construction.
2. Knowledge of NEC contracts and industry standards.
3. Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
4. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites as required.
