Digital Marketing Officer (Websites)

Salary: £25,523 to £27,783 per annum (depending on contract)
Hours: 37 hours per week, all year round
Contract: Permanent
Location: Peterborough College (4 days office based, 1 day home working)

About the Role: As a Digital Marketing Officer, you'll be at the heart of managing and optimising our websites to deliver outstanding user experiences. From updating content and improving SEO to analysing data and implementing enhancements, this role is perfect for someone who's tech-savvy, creative and driven to learn. While your primary focus will be website management, you'll also gain exposure to other areas of digital marketing including social media, email marketing and PPC campaigns. Don't worry if you're not an expert in everything yet - we'll provide full training to help you grow your skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimise the group's websites, ensuring content is accurate, engaging and user-friendly.
  • Analyse website performance using tools like Google Analytics to drive improvements and enhance the user experience.
  • Collaborate with the team to create content including multimedia for digital platforms.
  • Support wider marketing activities such as email campaigns, social media and PPC.

What We're Looking For: We're seeking someone with a can-do attitude, a positive approach to challenges and a genuine enthusiasm for digital marketing. If you're looking for an entry-level role to launch your career and are eager to learn and make an impact, this could be the perfect fit.

About You:

Essential:

  • A Level 3 qualification in marketing, digital marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A proactive, positive attitude with a genuine desire to grow in the digital marketing field.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for data-driven decision-making.
  • Practical experience with website CMS platforms.

Desirable (but not required):

  • A degree in marketing, digital marketing, or a related field, with developed skills that would be beneficial in this role.
  • A solid understanding of SEO and hands-on experience in applying it.
  • Familiarity with tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics and SEMRush.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS or digital design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.
