Job Title: National Account Manager - Foodservice Distributors

Job Description

The National Account Manager - Foodservice Distributors will:

  • Develop & execute a business plan that aligns with the corporate plan and delivers growth in the identified markets and customers.
  • Further develop relationships with existing customers and end users, identifying key large users and developing relationships and business plans accordingly.
  • Communicate weekly with the Head of Sales, reporting on customer, competitor, and current activity.
  • Set an action plan each month, listing customer visits and face-to-face or video meetings.
  • Work closely with the internal Sales Executive managing National Accounts, setting priorities, KPIs, and ensuring initiatives are implemented.
  • Liaise with the Head of Sales to inform him of market developments and opportunities for product development, working to bring these to fruition.
  • Agree on a pricing strategy for customers in the area and all new customers.
  • Support customers as appropriate, attending trade fairs, organizing showroom displays, and conducting training, marketing, and advertising.
  • Achieve the agreed commercial targets and standard gross profit margins.

The Successful Applicant

The National Account Manager - Foodservice Distributors will have the following skills and experiences:

  • Track record in account management and business development in the packaging and/or foodservice arena, having previously or currently managed clients like Brakes, Bidfood, Elior, etc.
  • Successful track record of hitting key commercial KPIs and objectives with an existing customer base, driving and developing new customers, and increasing distribution.
  • Self-starter, strong presenter, and organizer.
  • Full mobility for national customer meetings with a track record of developing relationships.
  • Highly motivated, passionate, and dedicated professional who enjoys working autonomously and leading customer conversations from the front.

Location: Flexible across England. Clean license and experience being out and about with customers are key.

What's on Offer

£55,000 - £65,000 base salary, depending on experience, £8k Car Allowance, 15% annual bonus, plus benefits.
