Job Description

McGinley are looking for a Working Groundworks Ganger to lead a paving gang on a busy construction project. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in groundworks, paving, kerbing, as well as strong leadership skills to oversee a small team and ensure high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leading and working alongside a paving gang to complete high-spec paving, kerbing, and groundwork tasks
2. Setting out and preparing ground for block paving, slabs, kerbs, and edgings
3. Ensuring work is carried out safely and to site specifications
4. Supervising labourers and plant operators, delegating tasks efficiently
5. Installing sub-base layers (Type 1) and ensuring correct compaction
6. Coordinating with site management, engineers, and contractors
7. Maintaining high health & safety standards on-site

Requirements:

1. CSCS Gold Card
2. SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme)
3. Proven experience in paving, kerbing, and groundworks
4. Ability to read site drawings and specifications
5. Good leadership & communication skills
6. Full UK Driving Licence (Preferred)
