Accountancy practice recruitment specialists, Clark Wood, are currently working with a distinguished and leading firm of chartered accountants who are looking to add an Audit & Accounts Senior to their team in Stoke.

As an Audit & Accounts Senior, your role will see you leading audit assignments from the initial planning stage through to completion on a range of clients including group structured entities and stand-alone limited companies, as well as preparing and reviewing year-end accounts and corporate tax returns. You will be client-facing and will be responsible for the supervision of junior staff.

The ideal candidate will be ACCA / ACA Qualified or at the latter stages of their studies and will have recent experience of leading audit assignments, either in a pure audit or mixed audit and accounts role. Prior experience of leading audit assignments is essential.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Leading audit assignments from planning to completion
2. Preparation and review of year-end accounts
3. Preparation of corporation tax returns
4. Supervising & developing more junior members of staff
5. Liaising confidently and effectively with clients

Skills:

1. ACA / ACCA Qualified or Finalist
2. Experience of leading audit assignments
3. Practice experience is essential
