Job description

CSS Recruitment and Training are looking for E&I Superintendents (Supervisors) in Southend.
You will need an E&I Trade background and experience in Petrochemical, Oil & Gas or a Pharmaceutical Industry.
Requirements:

1. Minimum 5-10 years' experience post qualification
2. Knowledge of Good Engineering practices
3. Well versed in interpretation of P&ID drawing to review and comment
4. Familiar with Permit to work environment
5. Familiar with FastTrack project environment
6. Fit and ready for construction / Oil & Gas /site environment
7. Be Independent and Pro active
8. Be prepared to be fulltime and at ease in field supervision
9. Be prepared to work extended hours per site requirement
10. Be a team player with good interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

1. Assist Construction Manager with E&I works
2. Ensure safety at all times
3. Manage installation/testing of Electrical, Instrumentation, Communications, and Telecoms
4. Supervise Electrical (HT/LT/MV/LV) and Instrumentation works
5. Troubleshoot E&I systems/programs
6. Ensure ITP compliance and document compilation
7. Coordinate with Building Services
8. Ensure safety and schedule compliance
9. Monitor labour productivity
10. Manage Foremen, Chargehands, and crews
11. Ensure materials/installations meet specifications
12. Conduct field inspections for quality
13. Review Method Statements and prepare FLRAs
14. Perform FAT, SAT, system line checks, and certifications
15. Conduct calibration, functional, loop checks, and testing
16. Perform system walk-downs, line checks, and punch-listing
17. Troubleshoot and clear punch items
18. Experience in Pre-com & COM validation
19. Coordinate with project team/trade members
20. Review and interpret drawings/shop drawings
21. Manage sub-contractors and monitor/report progress
22. Handle walk-downs, punch-listing, and closures
23. Interface and coordinate with Client/QP representative
