An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical/Instrument Plant Engineer on our Manufacturing Site in Runcorn. This is a full-time permanent position reporting to the Maintenance/CE Engineering Manager where the successful candidate will have responsibility to investigate, plan, organise and implement a program of technical work to maintain and improve Information technology, engineering maintenance and plant operations, and deliver minor projects in line with Business requirements.

The Runcorn Vynova Asset is currently undergoing a major investment programme, with the new plant currently undergoing commissioning. This is an excellent time to join our dynamic team as there will be substantial responsibility from day 1 as you will help drive the asset through this critical period.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Develop, define and monitor maintenance standards to ensure compliance with existing, new and future codes and regulations
  2. Prepare specification and scopes of work in order to purchase, overhaul and modify plant equipment
  3. Investigate, report and recommend solutions for specific plant problems in order to improve safety, reliability, efficiencies and costs
  4. Manage minor modifications, design packages and projects with particular responsibility for the capture of changes to plant systems and records to ensure long term sustainability of the Runcorn Asset
  5. Act as an inspection, quality control and supervisor on turnarounds, project installations and commissioning activities in order to satisfy the program and objectives, as well as legal responsibilities
  6. Act as the Vynova Runcorn DCS focal point ensuring equipment and services are maintained in accordance with business and site requirements
  7. PR / Technical Duty Manager out of hours

Ideal Candidate:

  1. Minimum HNC or degree in Electrical/Instrument/Control Engineering
  2. 5+ years experience in the chemical field
  3. Team Work
  4. Integration
  5. Full clean driving licence
