Job description

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate E-Commerce & Trading Manager to join our team. As the E-Commerce & Trading Manager, you will be responsible for driving effective merchandise planning, reacting to trade, and inspiring a team to provide an outstanding experience for our customers. This role will be based in our Brighton HQ and will involve working cross-functionally across the merchandising, e-commerce, and wider marketing team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Expert in product presentation across marketing and sales channels to meet KPIs.
  2. Attend merchandising product sign off and promo planning meetings.
  3. Create category-specific merchandising strategies to drive product discoverability and presentation.
  4. Manage and merchandise products across the site and various business platforms daily.
  5. Review data analytics to optimize online aspects of the brand and determine merchandising strategy.
  6. Streamline weekly reports on best/worst sellers and strategies/reactions.
  7. Appraise competitor websites to ensure alignment with industry trends.
  8. Plan and execute cross-selling and up-selling strategies for website items.
  9. Develop and recommend changes to online category strategy based on insights and KPI analysis.
  10. Work cross-functionally to align and plan product buy-in and marketing initiatives.
  11. Direct product & category descriptions and monitor site issues.
  12. Contribute to marketing initiatives and lessons learnt analysis.
  13. Analyze and publish insights into click/conversion rate on banner/promos/models.
  14. Create actionable plans to support SEO/PPC and merchandising range plan building.
  15. Identify and inform relevant stakeholders on website functionality improvements.
  16. Optimize the use of e-com imagery and video on PDPs.
  17. Set and track platform KPIs and prioritize business goals.

Qualifications:

  1. 2 to 5+ years of experience in e-commerce merchandising roles.
  2. Extensive experience with web analytics tools and Shopify.
  3. Data-driven with a focus on conversion rate and customer flow tracking.
  4. Experience with major online platforms and their ecosystems.
  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Analytical and process-oriented with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  7. SEO experience preferred.

Day-to-day:

  1. Full-time position of 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday, based in Brighton, UK (3 days are compulsory).
  2. Potential for hybrid-remote work.
