In this role, you will report to our Head of E-Commerce, supporting our Merchandising & E-Commerce function through effective merchandise planning, reacting to trade and inspiring a team to provide an outstanding experience for our customers. Based in our Brighton HQ, you will be responsible for working cross functionally across the merchandising, e-commerce and wider marketing team to deliver an extraordinary experience for our community and customers. What You’ll Do:

  • Be an expert in our products and direct how they are presented across our marketing and sales channels in order to meet KPIs.
  • Attend all Merchandising Product sign off meetings.
  • Attend the Merchandising promo planning meetings as we move to a full season view in order to create an e-com roadmap.
  • Create category specific merchandising strategies including product filters, navigation pathways, homepage layouts and landing page experiences that will best drive product discoverability and presentation.
  • Manage and merchandise product, including but not limited to category builds, product detail maintenance, and promotional activities across the site and various business platforms daily.
  • Review data analytics to optimise online aspects of the brand, determine merchandising strategy including but not limited to email sales and communication, product landing page, time-oriented online deals, etc. to help increase conversion rate and deliver best-in-class/on-brand online experience.
  • Streamline weekly reports to add to the trade deck on weekly best/worst sellers, with matching strategies/reactions.
  • Appraise competitor websites to ensure the brand/sub-brand is aligned with industry in terms of categorization, promotions, and trends.
  • Plan and execute cross-selling and up-selling strategies for website items to generate and maximise additional sales.
  • Develop and recommend changes to online category strategy based on customer and competitor insights, brand strategies, analysis of KPIs, product-specific promotions, and report findings on monthly/quarterly basis or more frequently if necessary.
  • Work with the Merchandising function to proactively align and plan as per product buy in plans for onsite Merchandising, align with Marketing and content teams to ensure appropriate actions are taken.
  • Implement a in season reactive trade strategy working cross departmentally to ensure all are aligned and on board with plans.
  • Attend and contribute within the business weekly trade meetings to mitigate risks and propose actions to increase sales.
  • Direct all product & category descriptions created by the Content Team.
  • Monitor and repair QC issues on site and keep the team updated on any site enhancement/repair issues that arise e.g. inaccurate product descriptions
  • Manage and maintain social shop catalogue and merchandise collections for Instagram/Social Platforms.
  • Contribute towards marketing initiatives as well as the marketing calendar.
  • Contribute to the merchandising lessons learnt analysis.
  • Analysis and publication of insight into click/conversion rate on banner/promos/models.
  • Create an actionable plan from keywords searched to support SEO/PPC and Merchandising range plan building.
  • Identify and inform the relevant people on fixes required to improve the user functionality of the website.
  • Optimise the use of e-com imagery and video on PDPs.
  • Work with the General Merchandise Manager to agree, set, and track platform KPI’s.

Your Experience Includes:

  • 2 to 5+ years of experience in previous e-commerce merchandising role/s.
  • Extensive experience working with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics is a must.
  • Demonstrable experience using Shopify is a must.
  • Data driven with focus on conversion rate and tracking customer flow through the site.
  • Experience with major online platforms and their ecosystems.
  • SEO experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be analytical and process-oriented to make data-driven decisions.

Bonus If You:

  • Have managed or worked on e-commerce activities for a company with a multinational customer base.
  • Have a personal affinity or connection to the alternative fashion or lifestyle communities.

Work Location and Hours:

This role will be based at our Brighton HQ, United Kingdom. This role will be performed on a hybrid working arrangement, consisting of a minimum of 3 Days per week in the office, and 2 Days working from home.

This role is a full-time position of 37.5 hours, with hours worked between 08:00am – 06:00pm, Monday through to Friday.
