Job Title: Primary Teacher

Location: Durham

Contract: Long term temporary

Leader Education are recruiting a Primary Teacher for an SEND school based in Durham.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with SEND and/or PMLD. This school caters for young people aged between 2-19 with a diverse range of special educational needs and is renowned for its warm, inclusive atmosphere that empowers students to thrive.

Working Pattern: Monday-Friday 8:30 until 16:30

The successful candidate will have:

Qualified teacher status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications.
A current DBS that is on the update system, or a willingness to obtain one.
Previous experience as a Primary teacher.
Ability to effectively deliver the curriculum, offering support, advice and guidance to pupils.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with pupils, colleagues, parents and other professionals.
Adaptability and initiative to accommodate various learning types and abilities, striving towards social and academic development.
High expectations and aspirations for young people and themselves.
