Dual Home Manager
Solo Children's Residential Services
Location: Hertfordshire | £70,000 per annum | 2 x Solo EBD Services
Full-Time | Permanent

We are recruiting for a passionate, experienced, and strong leader to take on the role of Dual Home Manager, overseeing two solo occupancy children's residential homes that support young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is a senior leadership opportunity offering autonomy, responsibility, and the chance to directly shape the futures of young people through therapeutic and trauma-informed care.

Due to the nature of the role, prior experience managing children's residential homes is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strong, hands-on leadership across two solo EBD children's homes
  • Oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance and high standards
  • Inspire and lead multidisciplinary teams across both sites
  • Ensure both homes meet Ofsted regulations and achieve/maintain a 'Good' or 'Outstanding' rating
  • Create a positive, safe, and nurturing environment for children aged 8-17
  • Implement and monitor care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures
  • Work closely with local authorities, social workers, and external agencies
  • Manage budgets, staffing, rotas, and performance consistently across services
  • Promote a culture of excellence, accountability, and child-centred practice
What We're Looking For:
  • Strong leadership experience within children's residential care - this is essential
  • Proven track record of managing teams and achieving successful Ofsted inspections
  • In-depth understanding of EBD, safeguarding, and regulatory frameworks
  • NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People)
  • Confident decision-maker with excellent communication and people management skills
  • Ability to inspire teams and create a high-performing, supportive culture across multiple settings
