Drivers Mate

We are looking for Drivers Mates to join our client based in Theale on a full-time, permanent role.

As aDrivers Mate, you will be a key player in ensuring the efficient and smooth delivery of goods to our valued customers. Working alongside a professional van driver, you will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of furniture and other home essentials across Reading, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction with every drop.

Pay:

• £12.70 per hour

Shift:

• 06:00am Starts
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime Available

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the van driver to ensure a seamless delivery process, maintaining clear communication throughout the journey.
• Safely assist in the delivery of furniture and other home essentials, ensuring goods are handled with care to prevent damage.
• Provide friendly and professional service to customers, ensuring a positive delivery experience.
• Engage in lifting and manual handling of heavy items, adhering to health and safety guidelines and using proper techniques to manage loads.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Ability to handle physical tasks and lift heavy objects.
• Strong verbal communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers.
• Keen eye for detail to ensure accurate assembly and delivery processes.
• Maintain a professional demeanour while representing our client’s brand.
