Duties

We have an exciting opportunity for a driver to join our Bulk Fleet in Coventry.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

Driving duties:

1. Ensure adequate load security at all times
2. Comply with legal and company vehicle segregation rules
3. Ensure tachograph modes are used correctly
4. Ensure the correct HPD/LPD Operations are observed at all times
5. Check the accuracy of the load before commencement of deliveries
6. Utilise the correct PPE and manual handling equipment
7. Accurately record information regarding delivery and collection on the correct company paperwork
8. Safely deliver/collect goods at customers/supplier’s premises
9. Drive in a safe and appropriate manner at all times
10. Report all accidents, incidents or near misses to the relevant personnel and carry out drivers daily vehicle checks and report defects via daily defect report procedure. Ensure that notified defects are rectified
11. Assist with the training of new personnel as requested by line management
12. Ensure that the vehicle first aid kit, fire extinguisher and spill kit is maintained & serviceable
13. In the event of any emergency comply with documented emergency procedure relevant to the incident
14. Regularly clean the interior and exterior of the vehicle
15. Ensure compliance to all quality and responsible care procedures
16. Must be willing to complete high/low pressure deliveries into customer’s tanks
17. Responsible for reporting defective/out of inspection hoses
18. Responsible for tagging and highlighting last duty (Veolia hoses)
19. Responsible for raising defects with the compressor/pump system

PDA Assessor: This is the process following on from the completion of the PDA on site with the customer. You will be one of many PDA assessors to complete the process before deliveries can take place.

EPPT trained: Be trained to use and deliver goods using electrically powered pump trucks (EPPT).

Drive all vehicles when required: Hold a class 1 license and be willing to drive all types of company vehicles when required.

Night out: Planned authorised nights out in the truck; Unplanned nights out at a moment’s notice in the truck; Be flexible Monday to Friday to “Tramp” as and when required.

1. Is a UK resident and currently living in the UK
2. Has the right to work in the UK - an offer of employment is subject to satisfactory proof of this
3. Holds an ADR licence and Driver CPC
