Job description

My client is looking to appoint a Driver / Labourer to join them on a permanent basis. My client is a regional main contractor who delivers projects across a range of sectors including health, education, industrial, and commercial. This role sits within the Minor Works division, which delivers a wide range of new and refurbishment projects up to GBP3m in value.

The role of the Driver / Labourer is to support the operations on the construction sites, including keeping the sites clean and safe. This will also include the occasional use of power tools and erection of tower rigs, as well as delivering and removing plant and materials to site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out work as instructed by the Project/Site Manager
  • Keep the construction site clean and safe
  • Ensure that tools and the site are left clean and tidy at the end of each working day
  • Assist other trades, as required
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner
  • Report issues with equipment and unsafe conditions
  • Handle and move materials and equipment, including deliveries
  • Put up site signage
  • Erect temporary tower rigs
  • Ensure work is carried out and finished to a high standard
  • Maintain the company vehicle to the standard required by the business

Salary, Hours and Benefits

  • GBP25,228.32 per annum payable weekly
  • 39 hours per week
  • Mon-Thurs (Apply online only) Fri (Apply online only)
  • Weekly Spot bonus for 39 hours - GBP20.00
