We are now looking for a Driver Despatcher to join our busy Preston Depot.
DRIVER DESPATCHER
BASED: POLAR SPEED UPS, UNIT 2 BELGRAVE COURT, CAXTON ROAD, FULLWOOD, PRESTON, PR2 9ZB
SALARY : £29,315.57 P/A
MONDAY - FRIDAY - 45 HOURS PER WEEK - 4AM START TIME
Polar Speed has a reputation for quality, compliance, operational and customer facing technology and monitoring solutions in the growing temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical logistics market in the UK. The company specialises in active temperature-controlled deliveries to hospitals, pharmacies, wholesalers and medical care surgeries as well as to end patients which it serves through its homecare business. Its customers include some of the best known pharmaceutical brands in the world.
As a Driver Despatcher you will be a key holder to the site, and the first member of staff on site every morning, starting vehicle engines and gaining correct temperatures on all of the vehicles, ensuring a smooth running of despatch.
You’ll work a minimum of 45 hours per week and must be flexible and prepared to work additional hours as and when required to meet our service requirements which may be of an urgent medical nature. For this role, you may expect to work on a Monday – Friday basis with bank holiday and overtime working as required. Optional weekend and bank holiday working is paid at time and one half rate of pay, plus a day off in lieu if working a bank holiday.
