DRIVER/ASSISTANT FOR GENTLEMAN IN BURFORD – OXFORDSHIRE (LIVE-IN/OUT)

Job Specifications

Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 gross per year (depending on experience and whether accommodation is required).

Accommodation: A small cottage near Burford can be provided for the right candidate.

Contract: Full-time, 40 hours per week (flexibility required).

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a professional and personable Driver/Assistant to support a gentleman who resides in Antigua but spends approximately six months of the year at his home in Burford, Oxfordshire. This is a varied role that requires flexibility, discretion, and a proactive approach.

Responsibilities:

1. Driving the client to appointments, meetings, and social engagements (car provided)
2. Running errands and collecting shopping
3. Assisting with general tasks to ensure the smooth running of the household
4. Managing ad hoc duties while the client is in Antigua, such as errands and household oversight
5. Being available for additional hours when the client is in residence and having a reduced workload when he is away
6. Being a keyholder and overseeing the security of the property
7. Accepting deliveries and managing post
8. Preparing the property for the client's visits, ensuring everything is in order before his arrival.

Requirements:

1. A professional, well-presented, and personable individual
2. Previous experience in a similar role, such as a private driver, PA, or household assistant
3. A clean and valid UK driving licence
4. Strong organisational skills and a "can-do" attitude
5. Discreet, trustworthy, and able to work independently
6. Happy to work flexible hours when required (advance notice of the client's visits will always be given).
