Drama Teacher
A truly fantastic ASD secondary school in Lambeth that has students with mild learning difficulties (MLD) is looking for a Drama teacher for secondary-aged students in September 2025. This school is a lovely, small SEN school where the students all have a diagnosis of autism. The aim of this school is to allow these students to be as successful as possible for future employment by having an inspiring curriculum that focuses on independence skills, lifelong learning, and taking part in the local community by completing various activities and programs.

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Drama Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of children? We are seeking a Drama Teacher for a vibrant primary school in Lambeth, specialising in supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and mild learning difficulties (MLD).
In this rewarding Drama Teacher role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment tailored to the unique needs of each student.
The successful Drama Teacher applicant would be joining a fantastic ASD school in Lambeth for children with mild learning difficulties. This SEN school offers provision for pupils from 11-19 years, who have mild learning difficulties. The school provides a range of unique enabling environments, both indoor and outdoor, which are used to maximise learning opportunities and meet pupils' specific needs and allow the students to gain independence and life skills.
Drama Teacher Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement personalised educational programs
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere.
- Create fun and engaging lessons for students that are presented in a sequential way.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting approaches as the Drama teacher in the classroom.
- Engage with parents and caregivers to support student development at home and in school.
- Work with and lead a support team within the classroom.
Drama Teacher Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- SEN experience is desired but NOT required.
- Experience working in a primary education setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
