Hello, my name is Karl Senior, and I am the manager of Wakefield CAMHS Specialised Therapies Team. We are looking for an appropriately experienced Band 7 Drama psychotherapist to join our well-established and supportive specialist therapy team. This is a new role within the service, and the new post holder will be involved in shaping and developing this new provision to meet the needs of the young people accessing the service and to enhance our existing psychotherapy offer. Our therapy team prides itself on providing the highest standard of assessment, treatment, client-centered and holistic care, working in a safe and supportive environment within a range of community settings.

We are looking for a skilled Band 7 drama psychotherapist to provide specialist psychotherapy assessment and creative psychotherapy interventions for children currently in receipt of Wakefield community CAMHS.
The service operates Mon-Fri 9-5 and provides therapy across Wakefield and the 5 towns. We are a supportive therapy team and work closely with the wider MDT. We provide evidence-based, trauma-informed interventions and use professional models to inform our practice and ensure the delivery of high-quality care with access to specialist resources and training.
You will have access to robust individual and group supervision to support you with your clinical and professional practice and development. You will have the opportunity to work with other professionals and providers to meet the needs of our service users.
