Job description

We are currently looking for a skilled Teacher to work within one of our client secondary schools on the Wirral. You will be teaching both Drama and Art either 4 or 5 days per week!

This job is to start at Easter in a school on the Wirral and is set to finish at the end of the academic year.

If you are creative, love the performing arts and would like a challenge, this is the role for you!

The pay per day depends on your experience and qualifications; there is room for maneuver if needed!

You will be responsible for:
  1. Classroom Management: The teacher must maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves. This involves setting expectations, managing behavior, and ensuring students have a safe space to explore both dramatic and artistic practices.
  2. Providing Individual Support: The teacher must assess the unique needs and strengths of each student, offering personalized guidance in both drama and art. This includes helping students develop their acting skills, artistic techniques, and creative confidence while encouraging them to explore new forms of artistic expression.
  3. Performance and Art Exhibits: The teacher coordinates student performances, including plays, skits, or art showcases, allowing students to present their work to an audience. This involves overseeing rehearsals, costume and set design (with an emphasis on artistic contributions), and organizing public events that highlight both drama and visual art achievements.
  4. Integration of Art and Drama: The teacher fosters connections between the two subjects, encouraging students to understand how visual art and drama can complement each other. For example, students may create sets, props, or costumes for a play, or the teacher might guide them in developing an art project inspired by a dramatic performance or theme.
