Job description

Drainage Assistant

Vector are recruiting for experienced Drainage Assistants on behalf of our client, a well-established and growing drainage contractor.

The Job

There are two different roles available:
  1. Jetting Assistant
    Working alongside an experienced drainage engineer, you will be required to operate vacuum and high-pressure water jetting equipment to maintain the drainage network and clear blockages. Works will include jetting, interceptors, wet well cleaning, and confined space work.
  2. CCTV Assistant
    Assisting the Rig Lead in carrying out surveys and mapping of the drainage network.

Requirements

  1. Full UK driving licence.
  2. Willingness to undertake physical work associated with maintaining the drainage network.
  3. Previous experience working on combi units or as an assistant on a CCTV Surveying van.
  4. Streetworks, confined spaces, and HPWJ (High Pressure Water Jetting) qualifications would be advantageous.

Pay and Hours

  1. Monday to Friday, 50 hours per week.
  2. £31,850 - £32,500 pa basic.
  3. Excellent opportunities for overtime.
  4. Overtime - £17.50 - £18.00 per hour.
