Job description

Now, we're happy to offer you an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Domestic Gas Engineer. This is a full-time, permanent position located in within our offices. You'll enjoy a standard workweek of 35 hours, Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4pm.

The salary ranges from £35,000 to £38,000.

What the job involves for a Domestic Gas Engineer:

  1. You will work within an existing team of gas engineers, reporting to the office manager and the Gas Supervisor you will also provide technical assistance and advice to our admin team and clients.
  2. Servicing of gas heating systems
  3. Landlord gas safety checks
  4. Carrying out repairs on heating systems
  5. Legionella risk assessments (Training course can be arranged if no prior experience)
  6. Pat testing (Training course can be arranged if no prior experience)
  7. Reporting back to the office on outcome and any follow up from your appointments. Certificates, quotes and job updates to be sent promptly after each visit.

We're looking for individuals with the following qualifications and experience:

  1. Awareness of Health & Safety Regulations
  2. Ability to work on own initiative and liaise with clients and other contractors.
  3. IT Literate
  4. Security Clearances Required
  5. Domestic ACS qualifications – CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1, DAH1, CPA1
  6. Good communication skills
  7. Hard working, punctual, team player and trustworthy
  8. Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  9. Occasional travel to Edinburgh for training and team meetings will be required.
  10. Legal Right to Work in the UK
  11. Current UK clean driver's license
