Domestic Electrical Tester

To complete day-to-day works to a very high standard and in line with the relevant Contract. To work within safety regulations, work policies, and electrical codes and standards. To provide high levels of customer service to our clients and their residents.

Main duties and responsibilities

As an electrical engineer, you will report to the Supervisor / Contract Manager, and you are the first point of contact between the business and our client. You must have good written and oral communication skills and have a high level of technical knowledge across the electrical industry. Acting as an ambassador to position the company's reputation as a leading and respected employer. Must have testing experience, 2391 isn't a requirement but would be beneficial.

The main duties of an Electrical Engineer include:

1. Carry out electrical maintenance, repairs, servicing, inspecting, and testing
2. Diagnosing and rectifying faults
3. Carry out electrical remedial works
4. Undertake new electrical inspections
5. To action reactive electrical works
6. To complete emergency lighting inspections and repairs
7. Carrying out company works as required and to desired standards

1. Carry out work to a high standard in schools, void, occupied and communal areas
2. Providing the highest level of customer care and always promoting a good external perception of the company
3. Complying with company procedures and policies to ensure smooth delivery of our service
4. Producing reporting on time and to agreed standards
5. Adhering to the company's quality management system and recycle correctly and responsibly

Experience & Skills

1. Experience in electrical repair, maintenance, servicing & installations, preferably within the public sector
2. A sound knowledge of tools, equipment & materials common to the Electrical Trade
3. CSCS card is preferable but not essential
4. Current Trade Qualifications
5. Good communication skills, both verbal & written
6. The ability to interpret schematics and electrical drawings
7. IT literate
8. A commitment to great customer service

Salary and benefits

1. Competitive salary relative to experience (PAYE)
2. 23 days holiday per year, and you can secure 1 extra day holiday per full year of service up to a cap of 25 days. From this allowance, we will provide you the option to sell 3 days back to the company per year, or you can take 3 days into the next holiday year. Plus, statutory bank holidays (currently 8)
3. Over and above the increased allowance, should either or both Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve fall on a weekday, you will not be required to work past midday, but will be paid a full day.
