To ensure that premises managed by QE Facilities Ltd are presented in such a manner as to promote an image of high standards of cleanliness, order, and patient/client well-being. Specifically, those areas within the job holder's responsibility are clean; maintenance needs are noted and reported; and support is provided to ensure that patient and staff environments are maintained at an optimal level to enhance the patient experience.

Main Duties of the Job

1. Complete daily, weekly, and regular cleaning to include cleaning of all floor surfaces, paintwork, internal glass, fixtures, and fittings as defined by QE Facilities Policy, Procedures, and Service Level Agreements within the designated area(s).
2. Organise and remove waste materials from designated areas complying with defined waste procedures for both domestic and clinical waste.
3. Carry out sanitary cleaning in all wet areas to include toilets, basins, baths, and shower cubicles.
4. Maintain and replenish cleaning materials to all designated areas to include linen in selected locations.
5. Respond to requests for remedial cleaning after incidents/accidents in a timely fashion.
6. Report building defects to ensure remedial action is taken.
7. Maintain all hard floors with the use of machinery.
8. Complete all relevant documentation to keep records up to date at all times.
9. Any other duties required within remit.

Job Responsibilities

2. Follow cleaning schedules and complete cleaning tasks as detailed daily/weekly and periodically.
3. Ability to use own initiative in response to variations in work routine seeking support as necessary.
4. Demonstrate flexibility in terms of work area and shift pattern to meet the needs of the service.
5. Ensure safe storage of cleaning equipment and cleaning chemicals.
6. Ensure delivery of cleaning materials and disposable items match delivery note, sign to record delivery.

Person Specification

Knowledge

• Knowledge of the application of all regulatory and legislative requirements required to ensure a Healthy & Safe environment including: Infection Prevention and Control; Safe Working; Lone Working; COSHH; Food Safety and Manual Handling; Patient and Customer Care (D).
• Constructive team working and participation including multi-disciplinary team relationships (E).
• Personal organisation and time management with strong attention to detail (E).
• Ability to work independently and use initiative, while being part of a team (E).
• Experience working in a domestic role/in a healthcare setting (D).
