Job description

Brook Street (UK) Ltd have an exciting opportunity for Document Production and Print Centre (DPPC) Operators for our leading Public Sector client HM Land Registry, Plymouth.

We are looking for Document Production and Print Centre (DPPC) Operators to join the existing team who produce the daily output from DPPC Operation by operating and maintaining the Printers and Envelopers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake the full range of print and dispatch room production tasks using manual and machine assisted methods
  • Perform regular maintenance on print and dispatch room machinery, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained to safe operating levels
  • Carry out regular quality checks during print and dispatch production operations and adjust machine settings accordingly
  • Monitor and efficiently manage use of print room consumables
  • Carry out fault diagnostics and repairs within the remit of their training and third-party guidance
  • Ensure Health & Safety policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Manually match documentation and insert into envelopes
  • Experience of working as a team member to deliver common goals
  • Effective organisational skills and able to prioritise work
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate production statistics
  • Good computer skills, experience of using Microsoft based software, including knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • 5 GCSEs grade C and above including Math & English
  • Ability to organise a busy workload to deliver effective results on time
  • Flexibility to meet changing demands as required and to prioritise and delegate as needed
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with others as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure adhering to tight production deadlines
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Interest in machinery
  • A knowledge of printing on printers and wide format plotters

The hours of work are 37hrs per week between the hours of 8am - 4pm Monday - Friday.

The Rate of pay is £13.37 per hour.
