Location: UK Wide
Contract: Full Time
Salary: £29,994.00
Closing date: 23 February 2025
Are you a passionate, dedicated counsellor looking for your next role? The role is full time, UK wide, online project. This role will be 5 days a week with a start date in April 2025.
Do you possess, as a minimum:
DMWS are looking for someone who has the self-discipline and motivation to work with a variety of clients from complex and demanding occupational backgrounds, who has strong interpersonal skills, can work as part of a team, and who is compassionate and committed to supporting female service users.
DMWS will provide an online counselling service for serving and reservist women to access free, independent and confidential mental and physical health and wellbeing support. Servicewomen will be able to self-refer for their concerns, both particular to and exacerbated by serving in the Armed Forces, such as stress and anxiety, loneliness and isolation, women’s health issues, work pressures, caring responsibilities and more. This targeted support will help prevent escalation to crisis and improve access to services for servicewomen across the UK who need help but don’t know where to turn due to lack of support or knowledge, embarrassment, shame or fears about how their issues may affect their career progression.
You will correctly assess referrals, identify needs and the resources required to meet those needs, with unfaltering professionalism and sensitivity. You will interact with DMWS welfare staff and assess the holistic well-being of our service users.
The service will be developed remotely, you should be willing to work flexibly to meet job demands, and this may involve working unsociable hours and travel with occasional overnight stays (expenses will be reimbursed according to company policy). A virtual service will help mitigate some of the impacts of a postcode lottery to accessing mental health and wellbeing support. We will explore our messaging and how we can ensure inclusion and accessibility for LGBT and minoritised women.
We offer employees the following benefits:
