Main duties of the job

As Divisional Medical Director -- Physical Health Services, you will provide strategic medical leadership, drive clinical quality, and ensure excellence in patient care. You will collaborate with Consultants, Clinical Leads, and Senior Management to shape services and develop a high-performing medical workforce.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Leading medical staff and fostering a culture of clinical excellence.
2. Overseeing governance, quality, and service improvement initiatives.
3. Developing innovative patient pathways and service strategies.
4. Ensuring the effective implementation of medical training and workforce planning.
5. Providing expert clinical input to infrastructure and operational planning.

We are looking for a dedicated Consultant with:

1. GMC registration and leadership experience.
2. Strong strategic thinking, communication, and decision-making skills.
3. A passion for improving patient experience and service delivery.
4. Experience in workforce management, clinical governance, and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Full Registration with the General Medical Council
• At least 3 years' experience as a Consultant Psychiatrist or Associate Specialist or Specialist
